A bill that I was proud to support was a bill that said college should cost less for less fortunate students. We had a very long discussion about that bill, and I felt that my decision was the correct one in the end. The government needed to be able to pay for this, so we talked about the payment options, and eventually came up with a solution. There were a few problems with the first draft of the bill, but once the sponsor made some changes the bill passed almost unanimously.
I should be re-elected because I love my job. I know how to write a quality bill and make changes to it if needed. I can pick out the good and bad points of a bill and suggest possible amendments to the sponsor. Listening is another of my positive qualities. I listen to the points my co-representatives make and consider all of them. I have experience as a lawmaker that could help me later in my career.
