The human body is an extremely complex system. A vital part of the body’s network is the heart. This organ is primarily responsible for circulating blood throughout the body. There are many different diseases and problems affiliated with the heart. These issues can lead to congestive heart failure (CHF). “Congestive heart failure (CHF) is a condition in which the heart’s function as a pump is inadequate to meet the body’s needs” (Kulick & Wedro, 2016). The causes, symptoms, and treatment are important components in understanding CHF.
CHF is excessive fluid build up around the heart. There are two main types, right-side and left-side. Left-side CHF is the most common type, and is distinguished by the poor pumping of the left ventricle. This
