Controversy Surrounding The Differences Between Public And Private Schools

The debate around the differences between public and private schools has been around for a long time. This is majorly because education affects everyone in different ways and as such people have debated on either the benefits or drawbacks associated with either the public or private schools. It is true that different people argue for or against either the two systems, so what these differences that are so clear and yet have taken so long to be resolved? Perhaps, the very fact that different theories explain how we can eliminate the problems associated with either the two systems goes to show that the core underlying issues have not been resolved as of yet. The general perceptions in regards to the educational differences between the two may be closing in, but different people feel and argue that there are specific elements to highly differentiate these two systems. Although the same curriculum is taught in private and public schools, there are significant differences between them which cannot be ignored.

However, most private schools employ individuals who are experts in their fields specifically holders of masters or doctorate degrees. Additionally, it is specifically difficult to remove public school teachers from their positions while in private schools many institutions employ teachers on yearly contracts. Such expertise difference have potential repercussions in the entire preparation of students, which as research shows is better orchestrated in private schools. Nonetheless, it is crucial to note that each institution has a varying degree of the levels of the students’ preparation for college
