Many brain trauma’s, including early onset dementia have sprung from concussions, not to say that sport related activities are the soul culprit but with the vast majority of the incidence coming from that specific area the concussion protocol has become a hot topic. This new concern for the concussion protocol is so new that the NFL did not introduce it until as late as 2012. This article and the research is so important because, use of a virtual reality-based NP platform can detect lingering cognitive abnormalities resulting from concussion in clinically asymptomatic participants. Virtual reality NP platforms may compliment the traditional concussion assessment battery by providing novel information. This study is so important because it shows how members of different sex’s deal with the concussion protocol. This is particularly important because the NFL, which is not just predominantly but a completely male area handles this protocol and issue compared to how the opposite sex in sports handles it. Concussion attitudes and beliefs were the strongest predictors of communication, and the small effect of knowledge on communication was transmitted nearly entirely through its effect on attitudes and beliefs. Much of the variability in communication was attributable to the sex of the coach and the sex of the team coached.
