Shades of Dance Inc. are our biggest competitors because they have already established what I am trying to do. They have seven shades of a darker skin tone, but they only carry convertible and footed tights at the price of $13.00. I will selling convertible, footed and stirrup tights for a higher price of $15.00. And other tights such as fishnets, I will personally

Loud beats, shouts and footsteps fill my ears, and an awful stench of sweat makes it’s way into my nose, but this dance studio is a special place nonetheless. It may seem hectic and rowdy to some people, but not to me. An environment I entered so cautiously at first started to become natural and safe. I had never thought I would spend so much time in this place doing something I loved. I would not forget how the first day went.…

The intense lights, colorful costumes, and ribboned pointe shoes decorated the stage. As the lively music played for those dancing in the spotlight, I waited in the wings, nerves jumping in my stomach. Every little movement would be seen from the peering eyes of the audience. Preparation for this role was packed into a few weeks, and both the honor of earning this part and the pressure of performing well accumulated on my shoulders. Originally, I had an ensemble part with the rest of my dance class, only understudying for role of Autumn, one of the four soloist positions offered in Milwaukee Ballet School’s Spring Showcase, Snow White.…

“When your music begins, you will be in competition mode.” I took a deep breath, it was showtime. I was introduced to the world of competitive dance in August of 2011 and ever since, dance has been the outlet for all of my emotions. I started off as a shy little girl who hid in the corner, barely extending her limbs as I attempted to mock those in front of me. As time elapsed, I persevered through challenging ten hour practices and the taunting of my peers.…

This plays a negative impact on the environment which burdens the already increasing problem of climate change. So after educating myself about these issues the question that I asked myself was that “how am I going to create a fashion line for young women with low finances?”. The solution being that I will create a line that will provide fashionable trendy styles at a reasonable price and that my line would have to offer more wearability and efficiency. This line will be a customized clothing line focusing on women with low finances.…

The formation of dance has lived on this world for many generations as we continue to pass through history. When I went to the wonderful performance at Pierce College I experienced a whole new perspective on dancing. The concert had many types of students performing mixed dance projects of all types like solos and duets. There was an average size of one to eight dancers per project which made it the ideal size for the concert. I really enjoyed the creativity and effort put into this performance.…

How To Compete At A Dance Competition When you compete in dance competitions for almost thirteen years, it begins to become a part of you. You take for granted the people you dance with as well as the abilities you attain over the years. To keep from taking all of this for granted, you must not only look at it as a “process,” but also evaluate the deeper rewards you gain through competing in dance competitions. The system of competing changes as the years go by, but the hard work always pays off. Competition day begins before the sun comes up.…
