To read, or not to read? That is the question, and the play in question is Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Macbeth is play that was written in 1608, and it’s about the brave Thane of Glamis, Macbeth. However, his bravery gives way to his largest character flaw: greed; but, even though Shakespeare produced the story of Macbeth, the idea of succumbing to temptation existed hundreds of years prior in the third section of the book of Genesis. The Tragedy of Macbeth and Genesis 3 share some similarities as pieces of literature, but the most prominent of these features in the indulgence of temptation by the characters.
