What changed and made the book a best seller, was twofold. A Broadway play, and a Motion picture. The Quote “this isn’t a Jewish picture, this is a picture for the world” from (I want to go on Living after my Death’: the Memory of Anne Frank, Tony Kushner, pg. 11). Sums up what had transformed. The picture wanted a happy ending, and a positive and upbeat story. This is what sells. People want to read and watch want ends up making them feel good. Not always what the true is. Broadway, and Hollywood know how to put a spin on anything to make it likeable, and desirable. This is why the book sells took off.
