“I have given you my soul: leave me my name.” This quote was said by John Proctor, a character from The Crucible John Proctor denied his confession when he was free. John Proctor is a farmer in his mid thirties that had an affair with a seventeen year old girl. He is known as an outcast he plows on Sundays and does not go to church often. He does not like Reverend Parris. John Proctor and I have very similar personality traits in that we are hardworking, independent, and being an outcast.
