Comparing Ancient Female Rulers
Compare the Tang Empress Wu Zetian (also known as Empress Wu or as Wu Zhao; ruled China througout 690-705 AD) with the Pharaoh Cleopatra (ruled Egypt around 51-31BC). For this task, we will contrast two of the most famous wonan Emperors in world history; Empress Wu and Pharaoh Cleopatra. Both empresses ascended to power undercompletely different situaton and there is a marked contrast …show more content…
In short, both the cultures can be identified by their sexual manipulation, corruption and family politics.

From this comparison, suggest lessons about different types of effective leadership by a female in the world of modern business and / or modern politics. From these two rulers, female leaders of today can certainly learn a lot. Effective political maneuvering is essential for any leader to preserve his/her leadership and the tactics employed by both these women can serve as important examples for the women of today. This includes good relations with each and every cadre which brews allies that are instrumental in times of crisis. Women today can also learn ruthlessness and absolute focus from these two important rulers. Wu, coming from non-royalty, had always dreamed more than her fair share and when given the chance, used everything at her disposal to attain the throne. Women today can learn a similar commitment to their goals from Wu, employing patience and resolve to withstand the anti- female rhetoric in jobs and application processes. Just like Wu, women must
