EMT stands for Emergency Medical Technicians. EMTs and Paramedics have the same knowledge and skills to take care of patients. The biggest difference between them is their scope of practice. They’re usually associated with 911, like operators of 911. They accept the blame for to commonplace medical emergency, but the most common are car accidents, childbirth, violent traumas, heart attacks and accidents. Their mission is to assess the medical needs of sick people and their injuries, and then provide them immediate care. Once they’re done, they have to supply whatever medical care is needed as long as it’s within their scope of their training.
