This year's first advection fog hits Dubrovnik.

Advection fog occurs when hot air passes over colder sea surface causing the air close to the sea surface to cool condensate into vapour.

It usually occurs in spring when the sea is still cold and air temperature is quite high. The sea temperature today is 14 degrees Celsius and air temperature is 19 degrees Celsius.

Advection for is very common along the California coast, especially in San Francisco.
