Students with intellectual disabilities vary widely in their ability to adjust in social situations, and the ability to complete their school work. Depending on their level of intellectual disability some may adapt more easily than others. Students with mild intellectual disabilities characterized with general delays, meaning while they learn the same information as the general education curriculum they learn slower than typical students.
