“Number of students in class”
The number of students in a class at my high school ranges from about 25 to 30 students. Here in college the classes ranges from about 90 to 190. My first day of class I was surprise to walk in my history class and see that the class had run out of seats for students. I was even more socked to walk in to my earth science class only to find out that the class was a class with 200 students my first thought was how is the professor going to be able to take the attendance of all the students in the room. Compared to high school this is a huge change for me I am used to the small sized class where the teacher had time to take everyone’s under 2 munities and the teacher knows everyone’s name. Here in college I am just another name on the roster for this class that has 200 students.
Teacher’s treatment of students” In high school students are babied more often than they need to, but in college students are basically on their own and are responsible for their own actions. In high school when you don’t your homework the teacher give you time to make it up later on in the trimester. In college when you miss a dead line for your homework the professor is not giving you any time to make it up. One of my professor on the first day of class said to us “I don’t do extract credit and if you miss a test don’t expect me to give it to you to take it again. Some people sometimes come to me and say to me I have to go burry my grandfather or mother, if you have g=have a death in your family and you know you have a test to take its your choice to miss the test I’m sorry for your loss but I can’t give you the test to take again because once I start doing it for you everyone is going to want that too” this comment socked me the first thought that came to my mind was this teacher is heartless. One thing in slowly noticing is that I college professors are not here to guide you hand in hand but in high school teachers are there to guide you hand in hand to prepare you for college. College and high school are really two different things they might be the same in terms of education, but they are totally different …show more content…
My every day routine was to stay in school every day till 8 to do all my work, if I digit finish I will try to finish it at home between trying to help my mom cook and answer to all of my dad’s request I tend to stay up till 2 am in the mooring doing my homework which I still manage to finish every day. The funny thing about college is even though I have so much time in my hands I struggle with time management with my classes being so spread out I tend to lose track of time and procrastinate a lot. I guess you could say this is because I do not have my parents on me for not doing my work I don’t know how to use my time. Funny how when I barely had time I knew how to manage my time but now that I have all the time in the world I don’t know how to manage my time. How
