Driving is a privilege and once an individual have earned their driver license it should be up to the operator of the vehicle to drive safe and make it a priority. In this paper I will discuss the safety of driving in the winter and summer months. There will be different types of weather conditions for both seasons, vehicles will need good mechanical work periodically to check for maintenance for both seasons, and the operator of the vehicle should always operate the vehicle properly and safely when on the road.

In the winter months it will bring cold snowy days and rainy icy roads which the driver should always be cautious when driving. There are many warnings about how the icy roads create bad accidents. I believe the summer months which are dry and hot and the driver should drive with cautious also, because there is no ice or snow on the road does not warrant the driver to drive carelessly. Never drink and drive always wear a seatbelt, and never speed with anyone in the vehicle with you. In the winter months there is less traffic on the roads, whereas, in the summer months’ people are traveling taking road trips. There will be less pedestrians walking in the winter, whereas, in the summer months there will be more pedestrians walking on the streets so, drivers must yield to pedestrians it’s the law. There will be bicycles, and motorcycles on the road, which drivers will have to share the road with them.

Use common sense and drive safely, and make it a priority. It is very imperative to drive safe. Driving is a privilege, and drivers should always drive with caution no matter what season it may be. With some of important tips mentioned all individuals that are operating a motor vehicle should take notice of what could happen when operating a vehicle during summer and winter months.
