These contrasting words are actually two theories created by a man known as Sigmund Freud but who is this man you might ask? Sigmund Freud is (well was) born Sigmund Schlomo Freud, he was born may 6, 1856. Freud was born in Moravia, Austria but oddly enough he had Jewish parents. Well, One of Sigmund Freud’s theories included the Instinct, or drive of Thanatos, which is the feeling or actions of doing something that can lead to destruction of one’s slef.this means A death drive, mortido which is the energy of death, the thing that causes you to want to feel the feeling of danger, and even aggression and the feeling of standing on a cliff wondering what would happen if you jumped, wondering what would happen if you jerked the steering wheel on a freeway going 80mph. HOWEVER this does not mean suicide. This drive is what Freud thought to push people towards death, or a dormant/Inanimate” State and “Extinction”. If we look more closely about what this morbid part of Freud’s theory was, we can see that Thanatos is leaning towards the feeling of anger, death, and your normal negative emotions. Now when Freud says “...Inanimate things existed before living ones” this may be talking about how the very first thing that God created was the heavens and earth, are these living and breathing, no. The heaven and earth were created. In genesis of the bible it says “In the beginning God created the heaven and earth, And the earth was without form, and void” was there signs of life in the very first sentence of the bible, no because Life came on Day 3: Land and vegetation as well as day 5:birds and sea life then day 6: animals and people.
