…In this essay, I am going to shed a light on two amazing countries, different but amazing in their differences. Both had unforgettable history, beautiful culture, economic transformation, and the people of these two countries.

…Firstly, the history. I will start off on the UAE first. The UAE in the past was basically a desert, it was just like any other desert you see in this day but even though it had nothing on land, there were riches under it that transformed the country to what it is now. Both countries have their own customs and specific etiquettes. Let’s start off with Japan. In Japan when you greet a person you give them a bow as a sign of respect the person will also give a bow back, you usually take a bow until the waist and that should suffice. Table manners are really important in Japanese culture, You must sit properly and before digging in it is polite to say ‘’Itadakismasu’’ which means I will receive your food, then you can start eating. Japanese tables usually serves a hot towel wet towel so that you wash your hands before eating, also this might sound weird but, slurping while eating noodles for example isn’t a bad thing, it actually means that you are enjoying their food and they would surely love to hear that. Tipping in Japan is a little insulting in their customs, in their ways a price is a price, no more, no less. Before entering a house in Japan you must take your shoes off at the entrance, even at business hotels! Usually a shoe rack will be provided near the entrance for you to place your shoes in then a pair of guest slippers shall be handed out to you . It is extremely a bad thing if you reenter a room wearing slippers that have been running across dirty linoleum. The dress codes in Japan nowadays is fine but if your shirt isn’t tucked in nicely, or if its crumpled, they WILL look at you with disgust on their face, You must be neat and clean, also eating while walking isn’t a good thing, if you want to eat …show more content…

Beginning in the late 1400s, the contact between the Europeans and the Native Americans has claimed to shape the time period into an era called the Collision of Cultures. This time period experienced drastic changes amongst these two groups, which primarily were not supposed to be as life changing. Everyone in America and Europe were completely unaware of the existence of each other—much less aware of how to interact and get along with one other first hand. The Collision of Cultures seemed to be inevitable while the Europeans constantly searched for bigger and more beneficial ways to better themselves. On the other hand, the Native Americans were settled in their own ways and they seemed content until the Europeans came along.…

Culture may influence physical findings because some cultures emphasize healthy actions more than others do. For example, a nurse may find that an individual of Asian heritage has healthier physical findings then those of other heritages because they show a large amount of precautionary measures to prevent illness. In terms of health protection, the Asian culture emphasizes eating “correct and compatible foods” and reducing sedentary activities such as prolonged sitting and lying in bed. Those of African heritage may have less healthy physical findings because they do not emphasize as heavily leading an all-around healthy lifestyle, this culture uses “avoiding sick people”, as health maintenance which may help to avoid illness but it is also…

From the establishment of the first colony in Jamestown, to the immigration of millions of Europeans through Ellis Island, the United States of America is a melting pot of cultures, races, and ethnicities. Every immigrant’s story is different, and to generalize that all immigrants came to America for a single reason would be unfair. America is a land of prestige and freedom where many people were and are still drawn. While all three authors agreed on America’s sense of diversity, Eric Liu’s viewpoints on the lack of shared identity and the need to foster an Americanization movement in the United States deemed to be most valid to my perception of what it means to be an American. A cultural profile can be defined as oral traditions and expressions, performing arts; social gatherings, rituals and traditions knowledge and beliefs about nature and the universe; and craftsmanship. My cultural profile was very unclear to me before starting this assignment. After doing some research and self-inspection, I would classify myself as belonging to modern teenage/young adult American culture. Two very broad cultures I’d like to compare with my own are Baptist Christian culture and Native American culture. However, within every culture there are many different individuals that react to people of different cultures in varying ways, and there is no set behavior that every member conforms to so making comparisons about myself and my…
