I also noted the racial disparities that exist in education, referring to the text, “substantially more whites finish college, obtain a master’s degree, [and/or] obtain a doctorate or professional degree” than other races who are less likely to graduate high school or go on to college (Barr 961-964). As the term has progressed, I’ve noticed that there is a significant amount of content that pertains to race. And while race is not the crux in healthcare, nor should it be, it continues to play a significant role. If we are to eliminate the disparities associated with race, it would require major social reform. However, if we are eliminate the disparities in healthcare associated with race, it requires only a different approach in education. In the article “Rethinking the Social History,” Heidi L.
