Google and Capital One On the Fortune website, the two companies I picked out of the list of 100 are Google (Google, http://fortune.com/best-companies/google/) and Capital One (Capital One, http://fortune.com/best-companies/capital-one-financial-corporation/). Google on this list is ranked #1 and Capital One is ranked #17. Both companies give employees great benefits and that’s partially what makes them both great companies to work for because they care for and maintain a healthy relationship with their employees. Both companies provide the following benefits; an on-site fitness center, discounts on gym memberships, the ability to work from home, job sharing, on-site medical and childcare, sick days and health insurance for part-timers, and have paid time off for volunteer work. Capital One seems to shine a bit more in benefits than Google. They offer college tuition reimbursement and the ability to have compressed work weeks. Google has gone 100% renewable energy for their data centers and offices. Google is also using $10M and about 1,000 of their workers to help Goodwill to enable people to access digital skills to improve career opportunities at all the Goodwill locations for the next three years.
