Orwell is not a Marxist as shown through the class system and abuse of power. In Animal Farm, both the class system and abuse of power create inequality and injustice on the farm and this proves that Orwell is a not Marxist. Orwell shows that he is not a Marxist by using the pigs in Animal Farm to manipulate the other animals and build a disparity among them all. The pigs receive all rewards, education, and overall better treatment all because they think they are higher in class than any other animal. They do not think of equality between one another instead, the pig’s abuse their power to gain more ability and strength. The pigs use and force demands upon the animals because they want everyone to fear them, which is what truly makes them strong.
