One of the common styles found throughout the movies are shot styles. One of the most noticeable are the the establishing shot. In most of Tim Burton's movies the setting is introduced with an establishing shot that slowly pans through the setting showing important areas or items in the movie. This is used to set the tone of the movie. Another shot that is common in the movies is a two shot. This shot which is the inclusion of two character in a shot, is used to show a connection between the two characters. This is used often in Edward Scissorhands to show a connection between Edward and Kim. The last one that is used is High Angle. This angle, which is a view from above, is often used to show of the characters and their surroundings, This is used in Nightmare before Christmas to show of the new setting when the character enters.
