An interesting quote in the Youtube clip titled, “Parting Words: Jane Jacobs (Dark Age Ahead)” , Jane Jacobs states, “One of the main things the government can do is to remove barriers for creative people”. I agree with Jane Jacob’s views on the organic creation of cities opposed to the inorganic urban development of cities. Jacobs makes a great point when discussing how the inorganic setup of cities developed by urban designers has damaged our American cities. Jacob's vision could accomplish the goal of equality throughout the cities. This vision could break barriers to achieve racial, social, gender equality and more. Jane’s plan is very similar to Chakrabarti’s idea. They both agree on having local businesses nearby to support commercial
