Coming of Age Interview Narrative Living in a crowded house of five others and answering questions while making dinner, while also trying to deal with two arguing sons simultaneously is not something many average people can accomplish. Luckily, Sunshine Marie Polk is no average person. A mom, wife, daughter, sister, and best friend are just a few types of people Sunshine must be, all the while living up to her bright name. At only thirty-five years old, she has four kids--including me--and a loving former-military soldier as a husband. For now, Sunshine is employed only as a reporting manager for Northwest Hardwoods in Tacoma, Washington. However, she has hopes of moving onto a more influential job that “helps people and that means [she is] earning everything [she] takes home.” When questioned about her most pronounced qualities, Sunshine responds, “I’m fairly outgoing and I enjoy being outdoors, but I do also like to have some quiet time where I can decompress and just be me.” This comes as no shock; due to moving constantly around the states as a kid, Sunshine had to be outgoing to make any semi-long-lasting friends. The last time she truly settled in her youth was for high school.
