In my webmap I think I may touch on both sides, which I believe it isn’t possible to obtain a good job; but college students graduate and don’t get a job. According to the Washington Post Article by Susan Svrluga “More than 4 out 5 students graduate without a job. How could colleges change that? That article spoke about how two students graduated with the same major from different schools, and after a year they were both unemployed and frustrated. Only 17 percent of graduates in May 2014 had jobs. It seems like as the years passed by the unemployment rates for college grads have increased. So as I began to do a bit more research I continued to question myself. Is college really worth it, because the statistics doesn’t seem to be getting any better although our economy has began to stabilize. With thousands of students enrolling in college each year, it is impossible for everyone to get that one coveted job. A bachelor’s degree is now the equivalent to a high school diploma because a mere bachelors degree is the minimum credential to get a basic level job. The times have changed and it is difficult to obtain the 6-figure salary-paying job out of college. I believe networking and making a name for yourself while in college is as important as just getting a
