The cold war has many different outputs that have been distributed throughout this time period. The Cold War has touched many aspects of American social and cultural way of living, the cold war had a devastating impact on our economy as well as our global security in the safesense, for example the nuclear crises as well as the propaganda and the effects of women and the employment issue it becomes worse than it already has been within the time of the cold war these facts are explained in depth in the next few pages explaining the economic downfall or depression period. “The threat of nuclear annihilation restrained the armed forces of the United States …show more content…
In scaring the hell out of the American people, Truman unleashed a fervor that would become part of American life and modify existing relationships to the outside world. American allies depended almost exclusively on their stance on communism. The same applied for domestic policy. The Cold War affected domestic policy two ways: socially and economically. Socially, the intensive indoctrination of the American people led to a regression of social reforms.”(Simensen, Jarle)the cold war seemed to take a toll on the us economy causing one of the great depressions the economic downfall put a lot of americans out of work for example.”As the passage of time slowly diminishes important events, it is history that must gather all the facts and emotions and expose it to future generations.
