Kenneth Bruffee argues that collaborative learning is a worldwide solution to social difficulties at colleges and that it is a solution to binge drinking. He believes that freshman college students often join sororities and fraternities to “make friends” and to “fit in” also that they would be willing to do anything. I strongly agree with Bruffee, if colleges created peer tutoring, team projects, or just had students sit together and work in groups it would decrease binge drinking and the number of students who join Greek sororities and fraternities because they would be making friends through better situations. The student that is tutoring is strengthening his knowledge in that subject while tutoring others, by going over the lesson he is teaching over and over while explain to his peer, so it will stick to his mind for sure, while the student being tutored will feel more confident and pressured to learn since the person helping him is a classmate. The tutored student would be confident enough to ask questions about the lesson since it won’t be in front of the whole class. It is also a great thing because it teaches students how to get along with one another. If one student at some point did not like another and he was put to tutor this particular student, he will have to sit down and talk to him thus will learn who he is and might end up liking him. Sometimes there are kids who get bullied because they are weak at some things. They think that they will never fit in at all and that they won’t ever have any friends. But when he gets tutored he will make new friends, and the bullying should
