RBMT-3
A series of studies were subsequently undertaken to evaluate the properties of the test when used in clinical memory assessment of older adults. Results supported the use of the RBMT as both screening and diagnostic tool. (GLASS, 2000).
Cognistat
known as the Neurobehavioral Cognitive Status Examination (NCSE),Cognistat Is a cognitive screening instrument that assesses the five major ability areas: language, spatial skills, memory, calculations and reasoning.

More than 225 peer-reviewed scientific articles describe Cognistat's use in patients with stroke, dementia, traumatic brain injury and major psychiatric disorders.
Ease of use:
Cognistat is a rapid cognitive assessment tool that quickly measures the five major domains of cognitive functioning and it is used to screen and quantify neuropsychological problems across a broad spectrum of patients.
Time taken to complete the assessment:
The screen takes 10 minutes to administer and the full metric version takes 20 – 30 minutes depending on severity of cognitive impairment. Scoring takes approximately 5 minutes. fieldwork settings might it be used:
Cognistat is presented to the patient in a face-to-face setting

It was designed to (a) predict everyday memory problems in people with acquired, non-progressive brain injury and (b) monitor change over time. There are 2 versions of tool allowing retesting. The RBMT comprises tasks analogous to everyday situations that appear to be troublesome for memory impaired patients. In order to enhance the test's sensitivity it was decided to increase the level of the difficulty in the RBMT by doubling the amount of material to be remembered – this was published as The Rivermead Behavioural Memory Test- extended Version (RBMT-E).
Although the RBMT and the RBMT-E proved useful in the assessment of memory, some changes were required to increase the clinical effectiveness of these tests. In 2003, The Rivermead Behavioural Memory Test - Second
Edition (RBMT-Il) was published (Wilson et al., 2003). This was an update of materials but did not include further development of subtest items or re-standardisation of the test. The Rivermead Behavioural Memory Test
Third Edition (RBMT-3) has been developed with the goal of updating the clinical applicability and utility of the tool. A number of changes were made to the tool to meet this goal. The RBMT-3 contains a number of test that have been retrained from the RBMT-II along with one new subtests- the Noval Task. The RBMT-3 should take approximately 30 minutes to administer in
