A legacy is your reputation, you build it up day by day so when you do leave or die everyone will remember you forever. Great legacies are hard to come by because one slip up here or there you have to start all over again. Sometimes if a slip up is bad enough there is no fixing your legacy. Like most people I hope my legacy will be of importance and make people want to be just like me and follow in my footsteps. There is one man that has strongly preached leaving a great legacy for myself. That man is Coach Huebert, Coach has left a tremendous legacy here in Aurora. From his actions on the football field to being the spiritual man off the field he is a man that many people want to follow in his footsteps, including myself. His big motto …show more content…
There is no in between area. The road map helps younger generations such as myself trace a path to success. It allow them to look at the bad legacies and figure out what not to do, and then look at the great legacies and see definitely what to do. Having a great legacy is not that hard to have either. It takes discipline, character, and respect. If anyone has those three attributions they will be both successful and leave a great legacy. Also legacy is about making smart choices all the time and not allowing yourself to slip up. I have known and heard stories of many big time football player that would have made eight figures a year in the NFL, but made terrible decisions in college that ruined their possibility of a career. Now their legacy and life is known as a bust. To become a great mentor for future generations, I must make wise choices daily and not get caught up in all the bad things in life. I know myself that I am a good kid that makes good smart choices 98 percent of the time, but it will be that little two percent that can make me lose my reputation that I have been building for the last eighteen …show more content…
Sustaining a great legacy all starts with hanging around the correct individuals and making sure you do not get caught up in the bad crowd. Once again it comes down to the choices you make too. I am only an eighteen year old kid, but there are tons of distractions and activities that can tarnish my reputation that I have been trying to build up. I have found over the last few years it gets harder and harder to fight off those temptations to go out with my friends and possibly make bad decisions. I know I will probably never get caught, but I am not risking my scholarships and future success and legacy on it. My career and setting a good example for whoever looks up to me is more
