The consequences of not accepting risk would depend on who you ask. “Life is a series of calculated risks” (Hudson, 2014). Every day, every breath we take is not guaranteed. Yet, they are things taken for granted and very little thought is given to the truth that we are not in absolute control. Our lying down at night and rising the next morning is not in our control.
God is in control. Act 17:28 (KJV) “For in him we live, and move, and have our being;” God was in control when He parted the sea allowing Israel to cross over on dry land. Had they decided not to trust God, their consequence would have been detrimental to them.

The negative consequence of risking transparency is that someone would exploit the weakness for their gain. The positive consequence is that a trusting relationship would be built and a cohesive bonding between leader and subordinate would develop into a team striving together to accomplish common goals of common objectives. Together, leader and subordinate, risk assessments can be made to help counter the risk factor and treat weaknesses with proactive measures.
The greatest consequence for a leader taking a risk is failure. No one wants to be a failure, leader or otherwise. Fear of failure should not prevent a leader from taking risks. It is from failures that a cure for many diseases has been discovered. It is from failures that space exploration has evolved into today’s current successful expeditions in deep space. It is from failures that continued research produced new ideas which gave birth to successful realities.
“Taking risks is part of life. By avoiding risk, we really risk what’s most important in life: reaching toward growth, our potential, and a true contribution to a common good” (student
