It's no secret that the WWE and former wrestling superstar and World Champion CM Punk have been at odds over several issues. In fact, he is still sitting on the sidelines awaiting a ruling related to a defamation lawsuit brought against him by WWE physician Chris Amann. After leaving the organization amid all the controversy, Punk decided entering the ring as a MMA fighter would be a great alternative.
The MMA Debut

It was during an Intercontinental title match between Dolph Ziggler and The Miz that WWE head Vine McMahon may have taken the opportunity to put his two cents in. Everyone needs to remember that Punk recently laid claim to the notion that McMahon and his organization were bankrolling the lawsuit against Punk.
Back to early in the wrestling match. Assuming the Miz was taking on the roll of Punk, he suddenly charged Ziggler, who promptly took him down like a bull at a rodeo. After proceeding to pummel the Miz unmercifully while sitting on top of the him, Ziggler wheels the helpless wrestler around and begins to apply a rear naked choke hold that was notably similar to the one applied by Gall.
No one knows for sure if this was the WWE's attempt to add a little salt to Punk's wound or not, but all evidence would seem to point in that direction. Adding injury to insult, this wouldn't have been the first time the WWE took advantage of the opportunity to throw a jab or two at its former
