Presentation Rationale

This topic would also be beneficial to human resources staff responsible for hiring, and any IT staff that would be trained to maintain cloud resources. The topic would be of benefit to anyone that wished to learn more about cloud computing and its adoption in the business world.

Significance: This topic is quite important to my designated audience because it outlines strategies for corporate cost savings and provides strategies to make the business unit more mobile, while reducing risk of lost income from infrastructure downtime. It also outlines the benefits of decreased expenditures, due to no longer maintaining a large IT staff or purchasing expensive server infrastructure, which lead to increased capital overhead and annual maintenance costs. Newer cloud technologies are more cost effective and should significantly reduce overall technology costs.
