Bhutan is a small country located in South Asia. The landscapes and scenery are absolutely beautiful. The country of Bhutan is a delightful country, often known as the “Kingdom of Happiness” There are currently many issues facing Bhutan, including malnutrition, climate change, and issues having to do with waste disposal.
Malnutrition in Bhutan has been a huge issue in Bhutan. However, the malnutrition has been in great process since the 1990s. There still has been malnutrition issues in Bhutan but still the citizens of Bhutan have noticed the decline in poverty, better health care, and a more local government. Poverty was over 40% in back in 2007, ever since 2014, the poverty has decreased to 12%.

Even though there are efforts being made to encourage economic growth, the impacts of climate change will continue to affect Bhutan. Part of this is made by the global greenhouse gas overflow. The people working in agriculture are affected the most from the climate change. They have to identify which crops may become misplaced under climate issues and those crops may give new opportunities to those in rural communities. Companies have to evaluate the impacts on the five key crops (rice, maize, potato, chili, and potato) and the three changing crops. (quinoa, kiwi, and cardamom) Those results can be used to find a suitable location for potential areas to grow and expand the key crops. The size of land is also reducing because of erosion and degradation. Mosquitoes are also appearing and becoming a huge issue in Thimphu.
