A thesis has to be clear because readers need to understand what is your point, why is it important and worth their attention and time. It's important to make a clear and logic-based arguments because that is how you present your point and prove that is valid. It is necessary to connect with the readers to make them listen to you. You have to listen to what another side has to tell. When you include a counter argument in your work and reply to it, you only strengthen your own arguments. It is a good idea to find common ground, something both parties can agree on. It shows that you considered other arguments and had founded something both sides agreed
