The Confederacy won the battle of Bull Run, and Fort wagner. The Battle of Bull Run changed the view of the Civil War for the Union because the Confederates refused to surrender (A+E Networks, 2011, First battle of Bull Run, Section: Bull RUn, Para. 5). Before the Battle of Bull Run the North thought the South was just rebelling, but the Confederacy proved they would go to war with the North. The Confederates had spies in the Union army to let the Confederate know what their military strategies were. The Confederates won the battle of Fort Wagner because the Union recruited many untrained African-American soldiers. Clearly, the Confederacy won a few battles that affected the outcome of the Civil War.

The Civil War has impacted America in many ways. During the Civil war, telegraphs were created to communicate in code with Union commanders and generals (Towner, 2011, How the Civil War changed your life, Section: Civil War, Para. 4) . Ever since telegraphs were created technology continues to advance. For example, every year there is a new, advanced style of cell phone. The Civil War also impacted the way American citizens view their sacred rights. For example, after the Civil War it became an amendment that there will be no slavery prohibited in the United States. Clearly, the Civil War impacted
