Then he proceeded to walk toward the electric fence to kill himself. Max killing himself was disobedient to the camp. He died as the man he was hiding to be. He wanted to die showing that he loved Wolf and that he was a homosexual. His action was an act of free will and the Nazis do not like the fact that prisoners can use suicide as a way out.
