Chronotherapy is the administration of drug or treatment according to the circadian rhythm of body that give maximum therapeutic effect and minimum adverse effects. Circadian rhythm control the biochemical process and functions of the body and environmental factors such as light, temperature, food intake can influence the circadian rhythm[1]. The pathological state of the disease condition have an observed rhythm for almost all diseases like asthma, cancer , hypertension etc. This pattern is analysed and drug is given according to that rhythm which is the basic principle of chronotherpy. Chronotherapy in clinical practice is an emerging area in health system where the health professionals aim at treating patients according to the biological rhythm of the disease condition. This inflammatory response produces the recurrent episodes of airway obstruction, which is characterized by the symptoms of asthma such as breathlessness, wheezing, cough and chest tightness. These symptoms of inflammatory disorder are often worsen at night and in the early morning. The array of the damage process occurring in asthma pathogenesis are : inflammation of the airway, air-way obstruction(reversible/non-reversible) bronchoconstriction, mucus accumulation, airway remodelling and hyperresponsiveness. Apart from the inflammatory cells, inflammatory mediators are involved in asthma, which have importance in the pathological features of asthma. They are histamine, prostaglandin’s, and leukotrienes that has the properties of constricting smooth muscles, increased microvascular leakage, mucus secretion, and also in attracting other inflammatory
