COPD(Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)is a combination of multiple diseases involving the respiratory system. Outside of the disease, the Respiratory System should be allowed to perform ventilation, the physical process of breathing, breath involuntarily, and perform the process of respiration. A normal human would be able to exchange oxygen and carbon dioxide without a problem.

How Is COPD caused?
One of the main causes of COPD is secondhand smoke, especially for people over 40 years old because of the air pollution and any smoke coming from machines. One of the first signs of COPD start with frequent coughing, more mucus and/or phlegm coughed from the lungs, and some chest coughing become so frequent that your sleep is interrupted by it.The multiple disease that create COPD have different effects on the lungs. COPD can also be prevented by to trying to avoid things that may irritate your lungs like polluted air , fumes with chemicals , dust, and secondhand smoke. To treat Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, patients use medication, self care, and therapy. Medicine like steroids that modify or stimulate the effects of hormones, that are used to reduce inflammation or for tissue and repair. Patients are also prescribed bronchodilators which is a type of medicine that dilates the bronchi and bronchioles, decreasing resistance in the respiratory airway and increasing airflow to the lungs. Self care treatment means that the patient has to do physical exercise, use Diaphragmatic breathing (train their diaphragm to take over more work of breathing.)
