Christopher Columbus
In the United states people celebrate a holiday called Columbus Day. Christopher Columbus discovered America. He created a new holiday because of his journey sailing to Spain. Obviously, all the authors do not have the same opinion. In the story, “Sail On” Columbus was a very brave man and was honored for his terrific journey. In the story, “Columbus Does Not Deserve a Holiday” Columbus was very cruel, mean, hurtful, unfair and shouldn’t deserve greatness. There are a lot of similarities and difference between the stories.
Even though the story was negative and the other one was positive they still have similarities. The similarities are they changed the world, traveled to Spain but ended up in what is now America.
