Judaism and Zoroastrianism are similar in many ways, but have important key differences. Judaism sees their god as a combination of divine mercy and divine justice, while Zoroastrianism views their god to have a power that is a combination of 6 celestial beings. These beings are called “Amesha Spenta". Nigosian stated, “Ahura Mazda's spiritual powers (menog) consist of a group of six celestial beings (sometimes thought of as archangels), called "Amesha Spenta" (or" Amahraspand," meaning "Holy Immortal" or "Bountiful Immortal"), who stand second in rank to Ahura Mazda and who, with Ahura Mazda at their head, form a heptad.” Basically Zoroastrianism acknowledges the belief in other spiritual beings only if they considered as like a second part to their mighty God, almost like they are his helpers.…

When a person dies the Christian believes that their soul will go up to God and it will be judged if the person has admitted and asked for redemption of his or her sins, and God will pass judgement if they truly believe and follow him he will then let the soul go up to the heavens, while the Jewish religion feels that G-ds judgement will come upon the coming of the Messiah and there is not much discussion or clarity of heaven other than a reference of paradise. 4. When it comes to knowledge Christians feel that God gave them knowledge where the Jewish religion feels that knowledge was passed down from generation to generation. 5. When it comes to history Christians and Jewish people feel that there has been great evolution based on the cultures being exposed to other cultures, the impact of war and peace between countries, and both religions believing in God, even though both may have different main characters, different days of Sabbath and different religious doctrines, yet both strive for resurrection one day after death.…

The religious groups that I focused on included the Roman Catholic Church and Judaism. Orthodox Judaism and Catholicism differ in many ways. Judaism rejects the idea of the Holy Trinity, which is an integral factor in Catholicism. Catholicism holds true to the idea that Jesus died for the sins of his followers, whereas Judaism doesn’t believe in that. Judaism doesn’t believe in the Virgin Mary as strongly as Catholics do.…

Religions have very distinct differences because every religion has something that another one does not. The differences can even cause conflicts between different religions, even if they are in the same family. Religions also have similarities that can cause feuds to end if people use it in the right way. These religions came from very different places and are influenced by very different things but they both contain the concept of nature worship. The Torah has strict rules surrounding how Jewish people should act, what they should eat, and customs during their holidays (BBC, 2012). This is another illusionary aspect of religion since it is nearly impossible for people to follow these laws and rules all the time; and plays into the infantile fulfilment of always being accountable to someone else. Both Christianity and Judaism have mythic origin stories that create mystery surrounding he religions which give the religions illusionary qualities that fulfill infantile wishes. Christianity and Judaism believe that the universe was created by God to have the work of God carried out by those who inhabit the earth (Christianity, 2016; BBC, 2012). Both religions believe that the earth was created in 7-days by God through the Book of Genesis (Christianity, 2016; BBC, 2012).…

Being one of the oldest monotheistic religions, Zoroastrianism began in ancient Persia around 1500 to 1200BC by Zoroaster who believed that there was only one god Ormazd or Ahura Mazda which means "Wise Lord." There are many similarities between Zoroastrianism and Judaism. Ahura Mazda who was not created but was omniscient, omnipresent, eternal and endowed with creative powers along with his six Spenta Mainyu or "Holy Spirits" named Vohumanah, Asha Vahishta, Khehathra Vairya, Spenta Armaith, Hauravatar and Ameretat that assist him to control the universe. In the Old Testament, God who was not created is also omniscient, omnipresent, eternal and endowed with creative powers. Human relations with one another are influenced by societal and religious ideologies pertaining to how one should treat another as well personal morals. The most profound example of this relationship is demonstrated in the way Christians treat and act towards the poor. The Gospel of Luke states “But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous”, which professes the way in which Jesus taught his disciples how to treat the poor and those in need, acting as a cornerstone for the relationship between Christians and the poor (Lk 14:13-14). The defining characteristic here is the fact…
