Christian conduct includes various aspects to consider. Differentiating in opinions leads for some to determine that being content is of the utmost importance while others may conclude that leading a good example is of the foremost importance. Showing a good example is important because it is something for others to see and learn from while varying aspects of Christian conduct may not be as obvious to others.
Showing a good example is an aspect of Christian conduct that can influence those who are a witness to it. This is shown in the Bible; “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5.16) As told in this verse, it is important that others see a person’s good example in order to bring them to praise God.
As Matthew says, “Ye are the light of the world . . .”( 5.14) Sometimes, the only Bible a person reads is that of another person. That is to say, unbelievers that don’t read the Bible in their homes or go to church to hear the gospel only learn it by seeing another’s actions shown by their example.

Mark Twain doesn’t strait out say a good example is not important, but rather it annoys him. This should make a point of saying that showing a good example isn’t something to brag about. People that are boastful and prideful of the examples they show can frustrate others to the point a good example is no longer seen as something viewed favorably in their eyes, but rather as someone to good for their own
