Being able to match the pitch of a song really helped me when it came time to learn different pieces that I had listened to. When sheet music was unavailable, I didn’t have to worry as long as I listened to the song and found out what key the song was in. Soon enough, I’d have the whole song memorized and written down. Matching pitch also helped me a lot when it came to singing in the choir. In 1st grade, I was accepted into this touring company where we would travel around Lima singing and dancing our hearts out. I also have a passion for singing and dancing. My first dance lessons were when I was 4, always singing along to the songs even if I didn’t know the lyrics, making them up to the tune. When I was younger, I remember of wanting to be a singer, I even cried telling my mom that I wanted to be a singer instead of “those boring office jobs.” As I grew older, I realized, there’s so many kids in this world with so much more talent than me and that it’s risky as well. I realized this career choice was not so worth it.…

In my life, there’re some times that I challenged an idea and I’ve got to stop and to think what decision would be the best for me. Any choice would be a path to reach an important goal in my life, which is live abroad. So, I’ve got to decide either to stay in Brazil or come over to United States, specifically United States, leaving my lovely mother at home. But I have overcome it all so far.…

Throughout my life there has been a greater emphasis on music and artistic talents rather than on physical attributes. I am not athletically inclined in the slightest, but music comes naturally and a love for it grew from my first and only piano teacher. She threw me my most secure life line when I was seven years old. My parents bought a heavy, ancient and well-used upright piano from one of our neighbors many years ago. It was almost mesmerizing to have a piano at my house and not just my grandparents.…

It’s very strange how one experience or choice you make in your life can change the rest of your life that follows that event, would you then in turn change these decisions you made. Such as your what if your mom conceived you not on the knowing basis. What if everyone was telling her not to because she was to be a single mom and that’s not a world a child should be born into, but then what if she challenged this belief that she grew up with. This then in turn affected all her choices later in life, but then vice versa what if she didn't challenge this belief and stuck with what she knew. This may be of the more extreme choices in life that some people must make but we all have that certain time in our life that comes where we must break away and make…
