There are many different types of feeding mechanisms in the class Chondrichthyes. Feeding mechanisms have evolved as the some of the earliest species in the Chondrichthyes class was known for having long jaws that were attached to the skull. The previous methods of feeding for these species from before would’ve caused minimal damage. The evolution of the feeding mechanisms in this class opened a variety of dietary options for these water-bound creatures.
