People might not want to live in South Korea because it is right in between Japan and China. If there was to be a war between China and Japan, South Korea would most likely get involved, whether they want to be or not. People may not like the fact they could get involved in wars and move to other countries. Since South Korea is big in the auto industry, they have the twelfth largest economies in the world, a lot of people would want to live there. The current population in South Korea is 50,546,701 people. 50.4 million of these people live in Seoul alone. A lot of people are involved in their automotive industry. Although most of the trees were stripped, there are a lot of reforestation projects. Other natural resources include iron ore, coal, graphite, limestone, tungsten and molybdenom. The fifth largest export economy is South Korea. South Korea also has one of the most complex economies. Some of the most important exports are cars, refined petroleum, passenger and cargo ships, and integrated circuits. Some of the most important imports in South Korea are coal briquettes, crude petroleum, petroleum gas, and refined petroleum. The biggest industry in South Korea is the automotive industry. During World War 2, the Korean Peninsula split into North Korea and South Korea. Since North Korea became a dictatorship it makes it harder for people to leave. A lot of people would want to escape a dictatorship and move to a better country like South Korea. History also plays a role in South Korea’s diversity because of the countries that influenced it centuries ago. So basically the UN scheduled elections, but the North didn’t participate. Trouble began whenever the U.S. forces came back to America. North Korea invaded South Korea, and the U.S. forces quickly went to aid South Korea. Many other nations also allied with South Korea, but North Korea took over the whole peninsula. North Korea was surprised and the South sent them as far north as the Yalu River. South Korea then became an indivisible democratic republic. Education is important in all countries because people need to understand stuff and get degrees so that they can get good jobs. Education is important to the economy and government because people need college degrees to run the government, start businesses, and create better technology. Without educations, we wouldn’t have the formulas to find out how much fuel we would need to get a rocket to the moon or mars so we could learn more about astronomy and our universe. South Korea has a literacy rate of 99.2 percent. This
