A perfect anecdote depicting this is seen as follows. Jaden, who is 3 years and 5 months old, was playing at the woodwork station with three other children. Jaden was dressed in black jogger sweatpants with a grey long sleeve shirt. He looked somewhat confused; he wasn’t lined up with the table. His left hip was by the table, while the rest of his body was facing left. He was looking toward Teacher Minjae quite often, but he couldn’t always catch her attention. The other students were hard at work creating their wood working pieces; therefore, there wasn’t much interaction at the table between children. Teacher Minjae had an emphasis on safety, considering the children were utilizing hammers and nails. With that said, she was moving from child to child making sure they were using the tools safely. Moreover, I would like to observe the actual dramatic play. Jaden spent a lot of his time observing others at the table than focusing on his own project. He would stand with a blank stare at the child next to them, as they were working on their woodworking project. His woodwork glasses were unsymmetrical on his face because the left arm of the glasses was off his ear. He would stare for about 3 minutes and then return to his project. During the actual project, his pinky was up, while he was placing the nails. He would go about placing the nail setters and getting the nails; after this, he would promptly ask for Teacher Minjae’s assistance. Jaden would say the following:” Teacher, teacher… I need you!” The teacher would eventually come over and guide him through the process. Jaden would nail with his left hand very close to the head of the hammer. His right hand would be at the base of the hammer. He wouldn’t make much progress hammering this way; therefore, Teacher Minjae gave him a technique that worked. She demonstrated how he should tap on the nail when it is initially in the nail setter. She did this
