In life adolescence is the most important stage because it is the stage where the developmental change between childhood and the adulthood occurs. Therefore, to understand about children’s behavior and everything about them having sufficient knowledge of developmental theories are quite useful. Piaget’s theory says that development of a child as a progressive changes which depends on how the children think. He believed that children’s growth goes through three major developmental stages in which their thinking totally differ from one another. According to Piaget, mental improvement of the child through adolescence includes time from concrete to mental thinking and also reducing selfish thoughts. And Piaget also believed that the thinking of the child is truly concrete until he or she reaches the adolescence stage.
To address this theory a teacher should first understand the thinking level of each and every child. This can be done within a short period of time while teaching in the class room environment. Once the teacher gets to know each and every child children’s seating arrangements could be shuffled where necessary in order to give much focus on the children who needed help. Then try to involve such children more in contributing in academic activities. And also teacher should let the children have much challenging activities which could improve their cognitive
