These behaviors are mainly due to the way they were raised and quality and consistency of care they receive at home or school. Intimacy and sensitivity to a child are vital for a parent or caregiver to develop a secure attachment to the child because it influences various aspects of the child’s development. I plan on working in a child center in the future where I would be able to work with various families and their children. As a teacher, it is one’s responsibility to be able to interact with children and understand what additional factors are in the child’s life before coming to a conclusion or judgement about their behavior. I believe this will help me in becoming more understanding of the children I will work with.
