Chief Bromden.................Gil Birmingham Based on his performance in the Twilight Series as the head of the wolf pack, which is inspired by Native American traditions, I believe Birmingham would be a great as Chief. He would be able to exhibit the quiet, but strong character Chief is known for, but also be able to give the viewers insight to his meak personality.
Randle McMurphy.................Leonardo DiCaprio DiCaprio is known for his outrageous roles that portray characters with a great deal of emotion in films, such as the Great Gatsby and The Wolf on Wall Street. His ability to establish serious, but boisterous characters with a sick sense of humor leads me to believe that he would make an excellent McMurphy. Therefore, when he finally speaks in front of Nurse Ratched this song would play light in the background, until it hit the melody, in which the whole scene would freeze and the cameras would focus on both their reactions in a very dramatic manner.
What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong (irony to harsh life in the ward) I really love irony in a film, therefore I would have this song play over the loudspeaker, which would drive McMurphy insane. This songs portrays the complete opposite of what life is in the ward, it promises love and adventure when the ward only offers isolation and boredom.
I’m Believer by The Monkees When Billy first lays his eye on Candy and whistles, I would have this song play in the background in order to express his new confidence with women, especially after his proposal was rejected. This song would promise a new character for Billy, even though it all diminished by the end of the novel.
