Chemical bonding can be formed by joining two or more atoms together. Throughout the lab various experiments were tested to form a chemical bond. Most people can tell the difference between the two main forms of chemical bonding ionic and covalent. With each bond that comes with a reaction. There were four types of chemical reactions that were mentioned in class. They are as follows Synthesis, Decomposition, Single Replacement, and Double Replacement. Synthesis is one of the more direct type of reactions. By two substances combining it forms into one complex product and that's Synthesis. Decomposition is almost like Synthesis but opposite. Decomposition shows the separation between chemical compounds into individual elements. Single Replacement …show more content…
Reaction #2- A few little bubbles when the Mg Dioxide combined with the Hydrogen peroxide.
Reaction #3-A pop noise occurred appeared in the Test Tube with the combination of the Solid Zinc and Hydrochloric.
Reaction #4-A gas substance came from the Test Tube with the mix of Copper (ll) Sulfate and Sodium Hydroxide.
Conclusion:
Better instructions, being more specifc with the elements for each reaction would help improve the lab in general. However throughout the lab everything seemed pretty good. So overall the lab didn't need a whole lot of changes made to it. This lab shows different ways of thinking. Chemical bonding was a big part in the lab and this was a good learning experience. Chemical reactions and the four different types was also a big learning experience. Learning how to determine what type of reaction was really good aswell. The results of each lab tell the student that there hyposities was right or wrong. The lab was made to show the reaction between two or more elements and bond together. And that's exactly how the lab turned
