I feel as though there were numerous factors that contributed to this. Examine the questions that you answered incorrectly on the exam. To what extent did these items come from a specific set of class materials (readings, lectures, recitations, ALEKS, end-of-chapter problems)? To what extent did they focus on certain topics? Did you tend to misread the questions? Were you careless? Did you run out of time? The majority of these items that I was careless on were concepts and trends I learned and practiced in lectures, recitations and ALEKS. In regards to this they focused heavily on periodic trends and the energy of electrons. The majority of the items I missed focused on the application of concepts. Also, I missed several questions that required interpreting graphs or diagrams. I did not read some of the questions fully and contemplate all of the answers as I often became confused and overwhelmed by the vocabulary used in the conceptual questions. Another major misstep on my part was careless mistakes. Specifically, it was in the way in which I interpreted the information in the questions and confused my trends. 8.
