The program I choose is Charter School Program (CSP) which authorized by Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 1965. And No Child Left Behind Act amended this program at 2001 year. It is administered by U.S. Department of Education at the federal level. Also, the department requires states to show adequate yearly progress (AYP) for various subgroups of students in reading and mathematics. The federal government strongly support the charter school program, one of the purpose refers to give students more chances to achieve a high quality academic performance which especially focuses on mathematics and reading areas. Also, from the quality of educational perspective, the federal government encourage innovative teaching. Besides, to create more professional opportunities for teacher, to improve student study ability, to provide more choices in the types of public schools available and to promote community involvement, all of them are the purposes of charter school program. In the 1996s at Florida, the Legislature authorized charter schools as a means, which to improve student learning, encourage innovation of teaching, give students and parents …show more content…
To compare the students’ math and learning development score on each grade. Then, to analyze their score gap. The student performance could be measure.

To measure the Number of Charter School. In the grant period, to measure the number of new open charter school every year, if the rate of new open school continue to rise. This result is corresponding to the output which is the number of sponsor to investing the charter school is increasing. Also, this result indicate creating more choice for parent and student, meanwhile, it creates the new professional opportunities for teachers.
