As she zoomed in she noticedthat one of the faces looked familiar and it was Sawyer! Although, she needs to see it more often so that she can figure out the date of thetragic event. She can’t prevent it if she doesn’t know when it’s going to happen. Jules finally convinces herself that she’s crazy and tries her hardest to forget all about it. Unfortunately she can’t. One day she began seeing the visions again, only this time she was able to figure out the date. She knows that it’s going to be on Valentine's Day at 7:04 p.m.. One who reads “Letters From a Birmingham Jail” in this day and age would be petrified and disgusted at the back story to Dr. Martin Luther King’s imprisonment. The sheer fact that he was arrested for nonviolent and legal protest would aggravate any man, however it is apparent that Dr. King took the opportunity to capitalize on the situation and transform it into an aspiring lecture. I believe that Dr. King’s purpose in writing the letter was a combination of attempting to move, delight, and teach what should be a rudimentary lesson to the clergymen who criticized his actions of protest after the mayoral elections.…

In Lucy's 'special things seen 'she states that an elephant had ran amuck and was show down. After reading about it in the newspaper, Lucy sets off to see the monstrous beast.…

In A Mango Shaped Space, the main protagonist is Mia Winchell, a 16 year old girl living with synesthesia, a neurological phenomenon in which your senses are jumbled together and words, numbers and sounds have different colors shapes and textures. This can sometimes cause OCD behaviors, for example in Mia's case she can’t write a word or number unless it’s in the color she associates with that symbol. This obviously causes problems for her not only in school, but with her friends and her family. I think this book would be a good addition to the curriculum because it teaches how to cope with adversity, which is something that everyone will have to deal with at some point in their life. The book starts out with a flashback of Mia in third…

Hush is a horror movie about a woman named Madison Young. Maddie is a mute author, who temporarily lost her hearing and her speaking ability when she contracted bacterial meningitis when she was 13. She ended up losing both her hearing and her speaking ability after she had a surgery that went wrong. Due to Maddie’s disabilities, Hush presents an emphasis on isolation and the importance of existential awareness that other horror movies fail to provide. Hush is different because most of the movie there isn't much noise and dialogue, especially when we’re in Maddie’s point of view.…
